To illustrate the post “River flowing from China dries up in India” bellow, here is a map from Pakistan, through Himalay, to Bangalesh and China.

All the main rivers of the Indias, Indus, Gange, and Brahmaputre originate in the Himalya, two of them in Tibet. Both India, Pakistan and China are dependant of this region to irrigate their cultivations.

The shortage of water ressources, or the construction of dams, would create tensions between these states.
